Who We Are

All members of the Superyacht Canada Pilot Waiver Committee (SCPWC) are veteran mariners with a vast experience navigating high tonnage luxury and commercial vessels up to 10,000 gross tonnes through the complex waters and challenging currents encountered on the West Coast of Canada. Each voyage will leave clients with wonderful memories of their unique voyage through British Columbia’s vast archipelago often referred to as Fjord Land. The coast of BC offers 27,000 kilometers of unparalleled beauty. Notably, this is the largest pilotage coverage area in the world.

Services

Voyage Planning

SCPWC can assist owners, owner representatives and super yacht Captains in developing custom sail plans to meet the special needs of each client. The sail plans are reviewed and adjusted with the client representatives and the Bridge Resource Management Team prior to embarkation to ensure a smooth and seamless experience on your visit to British Columbia waters. Your BC experience will be spectacular whether you are transiting from Washington State through to the State of Alaska and return or alternately, should the BC coastal waters be your destination.

Some clients may wish to see the rugged west coast wilderness and avoid interaction with other vessels and or commercial traffic while others may enjoy a visit that includes the highlights of major destinations such as Victoria, with it’s taste of old English charm. Or visit Vancouver for the modern multicultural experience of west coast living. Each offers the opportunity to enjoy the cultural resources and fine dining associated with those centers.

Following detailed discussions with the client representatives and the Bridge Team to determine the clients interests and expectations for your adventure, Sail Plans are developed.

The detailed Sail Plans are assembled in 4 formats for ease in transferring to ECDS;

  1. An MS Project format for daily planning
  2. A bound Excell format as a working copy on the bridge.
  3. Time Zero Electronic version.
  4. Rose Point Electronic version.

Provision of PPA Waiver Qualified OOW

Clients can be assured that the assigned OOW will be intimately versed in ensuring each voyage meets the highest standards possible. All OOW on the CPWC team work together to ensure every customer experience meets the client’s expectations.
